GSL has extensive experience in the development and conduct of probabilistic and deterministic radiological risk assessment calculations for a range of nuclear safety and environmental problems using GoldSim and other performance assessment (PA) tools.
In addition, GSL staff have worked in the areas of scenario development [see the figure below for the main stages in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s ISAM (Improvement of Safety Assessment Methodologies) safety assessment or PA methodology], treatment of human intrusion, treatment of model and parameter uncertainty, use of expert judgement, code comparisons, and verification and validation for a wide range of clients internationally.
