GSL has reviewed low-level waste (LLW) inventories for the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) Dounreay and Windscale, and for British Nuclear Group (at Magnox nuclear power plants), and has extensive experience of the range of waste types and management strategies produced at nuclear decommissioning sites.

For example, for the Hinkley Point A decommissioning site we reviewed the 2004 Baseline Decommissioning Plan (BDP) inventory for solid LLW, and compared it with LLW inventories and LLW management strategies at other Magnox decommissioning sites (Hunterston A, Trawsfynydd and Berkeley).  Inventory estimates were provided for different waste management strategies.  We also compiled a site-wide Active Waste Water (AWW) inventory and made forecasts of abatement requirements during the decommissioning programme.
